About Us
The Market Place Restaurant, Cromford has been a family run establishment for the last 23 years; customers enjoy delicious food in a relaxing non smoking atomsphere with warm hospitality in one of the most interesting and historic restaurants in the Derbyshire Dales.
It has a lovely oldie worldy ambience with attractive surroundings making you feel at ease. Joanne and Richard Hancock, the owners offer a wonderful array of mouth-watering A la Carte meals being especially famous for their sizzlers.

We also offer outstanding value for money serving a three course lunchtime special including bread and wine for £8.95. We serve an evening special menu for £13.95 including wine, not forgetting our famous three course Sunday lunch again £12.95. These special menus change weekly (please see other pages for details). Groups of six or more can enjoy a bottle of champers and a celebration cake when celebrating a birthday/anniversary dining on the A la Carte menu Tuesday to Thursday with prior notice.
The restaurant boasts seating for sixty people comfortably, so we are able to cope admirably with coach parties and other special functions. We have the advantage of The Market Place car park in front of the restaurant for easy access.
Cromford, now recognised as a'' World Heritage'' site nestles between famous Matlock Bath, Bonsall and Wirksworth. Also close by is Carsington Water, Cromford Mill, Cromford Meadows and lots of beautiful countryside, great for those lovely walks.
